The Bicentenary of Val Saint-Lambert

In 2026, the Val Saint-Lambert Crystal Works will celebrate its bicentenary. Founded in 1826, this iconic manufactory holds a central place in Belgium’s industrial, artistic, and cultural heritage. For two centuries, it has embodied the excellence of Belgian crystal and the international renown of a craftsmanship that has durably shaped the identity of both the site and the surrounding region. From 11 April to 6 December 2026, Val Saint-Lambert will present an exceptional programme, making the Bicentenary a major highlight on the site. Conceived as a celebration that is both retrospective and forward-looking, the programme is built around three complementary pillars: a major exhibition dedicated to two centuries of creation and craftsmanship; contemporary artistic reinterpretations through an immersive experience and an immersive performance; and an extensive programme of activities designed to bring the site to life throughout the year, ranging from contemporary art to initiatives around the art of the table, alongside other cultural offerings accessible to all audiences, some of which will be part of major cultural and heritage events such as the Heritage Days.
