Ancient and Modern Treasures in Brussels
//= $catTxt; ?>Artcurial presents, in its Brussels setting, a selection of works from its Paris sales of Old and Modern Art in November and December, with a special focus on our regions. To be discovered on November 6 and 7. Among the works connected to Belgium are Earthenware Bowl with Fruit and Birds by Frans Snyders, Basket of Flowers and Bouquet in a Wan-Li Vase on an Entablature by Osias Beert, as well as The Month of May by Abel Grimmer. The exhibition will also showcase major French works, such as Portrait of Jean-Hyacinthe Hocquart by Jean-François de Troy, an important rediscovery in the oeuvre of Paul Gauguin: Breton Dance (1889), along with an exceptional mechanical reading table, stamped by Jean-François Œben (cabinetmaker to King Louis XV). This event is aimed at collectors and art enthusiasts, offering a privileged preview of the upcoming lots in Artcurial’s year-end sales.
