Horta Museum | General presentation

The Horta Museum is housed in the personal home and studio of architect Victor Horta (1861-1947). The two buildings, built between 1898 in 1901 at house numbers 23 and 25 on the American street in Saint-Gilles, are characteristic of Art Nouveau at its height. The house has largely retained its interior decoration: mosaics, stained glass and murals create a harmonious and refined whole down to the smallest detail. NEWS SINCE 2020: the opening to the public of the draftsman’s room, the servants’ floor and the partial 3D reconstruction of the People’s House.
