After captivating hundreds of thousands of visitors, Mons en Lumières returns to the city of Mons from 22 to 25 January 2026 for a new edition that will once again transform the historic centre into a glowing nighttime landscape. For four evenings, the city becomes a luminous stage where architectural heritage, culture and imagination come together. In just two years, the festival has become one of Wallonia’s winter highlights. As the days grow shorter and the atmosphere turns cosier, Mons lights up its city centre with an enchanting spectacle. More than 260,000 visitors have already experienced the event, confirming its positive impact on the region’s economy and tourism. This third edition builds on that momentum. Visitors can explore a free three-kilometre route through streets, squares and iconic sites, illuminated by fifteen spectacular light installations. Each piece offers a moment of wonder — a fresh perspective on the rich heritage and cultural identity of Mons. Nothing is repeated, everything is reinvented.
