True to its pioneering DNA, Artcurial is launching Artcurial Kids on December 10, the very first auction dedicated to the world of children. The first part of the sale, held in partnership with l’école des loisirs, will be devoted to children’s illustration. Thirty authors from the publishing house will each exclusively present two original drawings from their most famous books. Among these illustrators are Marianne Barcillon, Stephanie Blake, Magali Bonniol, Dorothée de Monfreid, Geoffroy de Pennart, Grégoire Solotareff, Rudy Spiessert and Olivier Tallec. The second chapter of this inaugural edition will feature children’s chairs and furniture. Most of the pieces come from the personal collection of Werner Löffler, who spent more than forty years acquiring these everyday objects, some of which are already part of the collections of the Centre Pompidou. Among the toys, five soft toys created exclusively for Artcurial by the renowned house La Pelucherie will delight children and adults alike, while vintage cars specially designed for children will introduce budding Jaguar and Ferrari enthusiasts to the world of collector cars.
