Art Brussels 2026
//= $catTxt; ?>For its first participation in Art Brussels, Esther Verhaeghe – art concepts dedicates its stand to a solo presentation by Daniel Enkaoua, an artist whose work has accompanied the formative stages of the gallery’s curatorial vision for over a decade. This presentation reflects a relationship built over time, initiated in 2013 with the gallery’s inaugural exhibition, continued in 2019 with a project at the vineyards of Château de Bousval, and further deepened in 2022–2023 through a two-part exhibition marking the opening of the permanent space at 3, avenue G. Macau in Brussels. Participation in Art Brussels represents a new chapter in this shared trajectory, shaped by the specific context of the fair. Titled LUMEN, the project brings together a selection of recent paintings in which Daniel Enkaoua continues his rigorous exploration of light, approached as an inner phenomenon. Through portraits and still lifes, the paintings exist at the threshold of the visible: light is neither descriptive nor theatrical, but condensed, restrained, often silent. It functions as a point of passage, revealing presence while holding it in suspension. The work thus becomes a space where time, fragility, and attention converge.
