From May 17 to June 15, 2024, François Avril pays tribute to his beloved city of Brussels at Galerie Huberty & Breyne (Brussels), as the artist prepares to leave the Belgian capital after 12 years. Entitled BXL, this exhibition reveals a personal and poetic vision of the city and its neighborhoods, far from the tourist circuits, through a new series of paintings and drawings. To mark the occasion, SKIRA, in co-publication with Huberty & Breyne Gallery, is publishing a book featuring a hundred of the artist's paintings from the last 12 years.
