The exhibition will revolve around slogans and the use of advertising codes (a reference to the artist’s first training, as a visual communications graduate). Each room at La Châtaigneraie will be partly or entirely dedicated to a color. The rainbow palette will be given pride of place. Each color ensemble will itself be associated with a verb to underline its theme (e.g. accumulate). Smaller spaces (small rooms, hall, etc.) will serve as “buffer spaces”: entirely white, they will present white works of art (tone on tone, i.e. glossy white on matt white). The scenography will play on the delicacy of these works, which should be “sought out” by the visitor. They will provide an opportunity to choose more reflective texts for the viewer. The exhibition will deal globally with societal problems, their contradictions and lures. We’ll approach the subject in different ways, with different angles and materials.
