Centrale Closed. A fanfare farewell for the art Center
//= $catTxt; ?>To mark its closure, announced last December by the Mayor of Brussels, Philippe Close, and taking effect after the current exhibitions — Michel Couturier, Làzara Rosell Albear, and Grégoire Motte — Centrale is hosting a special performance on 21 February. The event is designed as a meaningful moment of gathering, at a time when culture is increasingly under threat. The afternoon begins at 4:00 PM with an electro-acoustic concert by Làzara Rosell Albear, accompanied by Laura Robles Marcuello. It will be a multisensory experience, immersing visitors in the artist’s sound universe, bridging Brussels and Cuba. At 5:30 PM, the two artists will be joined by the Art Ensemble of Brussels for a procession around Place Sainte-Catherine, envisioned as a final ritual. Access is free throughout the entire last weekend, allowing as many people as possible to visit Centrale one last time before its permanent closure.
