ANTE Festival 2026
//= $catTxt; ?>The architecture of the 19th century is often overshadowed by the internationally renowned Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. Yet this period laid the foundations for the Brussels cityscape as we know it today. With the second edition of the ANTE Festival, Explore.Brussels invites the public to rediscover the “long 19th century” (1780–1920): a transformative period marked by profound changes, during which the neighbourhoods, buildings and urban structures that continue to define Brussels today took shape. Over two festival weekends, on 3–4 October and 10–11 October 2026, ANTE Festival invites visitors to explore this multifaceted era, from architectural styles such as Neoclassicism and Eclecticism to the major architectural and technological innovations that paved the way for the modern city.
