11th edition of FIFCL
//= $catTxt; ?>For more than ten years, the Liège International Comedy Film Festival has celebrated comedy in all its forms through a competition unique in Europe. The FIFCL is in fact the only European festival entirely dedicated to international comedies. Each year, it presents world or Belgian premieres of films from around the globe: pure, social, romantic, dramatic, dark, or musical comedies, shown as feature films, short films, or documentaries, either in the official competition, out of competition, or in special screenings. The competition culminates in the presentation of the Golden and Crystal Bulls awards. Beyond the screenings, the festival also offers meetings with film personalities, professional events, the CineComédies Lab writing residency, a coproduction forum, a film industry fair, exhibitions, and concerts. Since its creation, the FIFCL has welcomed many major cinema figures, including Jean Reno, Nathalie Baye, Carole Bouquet, Lambert Wilson, Gérard Lanvin, André Dussollier, Karin Viard, Dany Boon, Franck Dubosc, François Berléand, Marie-Anne Chazel, Patrick Bruel, Christian Clavier, Benoît Poelvoorde, and Josiane Balasko.
