From March 5 to September 20, 2026, the theatrical and provocative world of artist Yves Malfliet will take over the spaces of the Erasmus House Museum. Titled Olé Désiré!, the exhibition presents a series of recent works, including some never-before-seen pieces created specifically for this occasion. Malfliet’s quirky vision of the human condition stands in striking contrast to the Erasmus House, a sanctuary of religious knowledge and Renaissance writings. Yves Malfliet pays little heed to the rules and craft norms of ceramics, secretly delighting in doing exactly the opposite of what is expected.
