PolitiK V
//= $catTxt; ?>From November 27 to December 3, PolitiK – the International Encounters of Political Film celebrates its fifth anniversary. As the only Belgian event entirely dedicated to political cinema, PolitiK has established itself as a major cultural gathering, at the crossroads of the seventh art, critical thinking, and civic engagement. For this anniversary edition, PolitiK is reaching a new milestone: for the first time, the festival will take place across five partner venues, strengthening its commitment to expansion and its roots in Belgium’s cultural landscape. With the guiding theme “The more eyes open, the less minds close,” the event aims more than ever to provide audiences with keys to understanding major contemporary political issues and to foster democratic debate. This year’s program features 28 screenings, including 11 fiction films, 15 documentaries, and 1 animated film. On the agenda: exclusive premieres as well as notable revivals, which the festival wishes to bring back into the spotlight for their continuing relevance. As every year, all screenings will be followed by discussions and encounters, in a spirit of direct dialogue with the audience.
