Nourrie par des lectures sur la pens\u00e9e existentielle et humaniste, Smets interroge les notions d\u2019identit\u00e9, de transformation et d\u2019interconnexion \u00e0 travers des figures et des symboles ancr\u00e9s dans la mythologie moderne. Son travail se d\u00e9veloppe autour d\u2019un vocabulaire iconographique riche, o\u00f9 la for\u00eat et les microcosmes naturels deviennent le cadre de r\u00e9cits visuels, inspirant r\u00e9flexion et contemplation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le titre de l\u2019exposition, Will go undersky, fait \u00e9cho \u00e0 la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre citation de Marcel Duchamp, \u201cWill go underground\u201d, en renversant l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019une retraite souterraine pour sugg\u00e9rer une exploration ascendante, une qu\u00eate vers de nouveaux horizons c\u00e9lestes.
