Libre Botanique, an excerpt from the Botanicum.um.m project by Cr\u00e9ahm Li\u00e8ge, follows on from Daniel Henry\u2019s 2025 exhibition Les fleurs ne fanent jamais at the Centre d\u2019art Les Drapiers. Flowers \u2013 fundamental and primary forms, an inexhaustible subject in the history of drawing \u2013 are here both celebrated and rediscovered. Under the free hands of Cr\u00e9ahm artists G\u00e9raldine Beaup\u00e8re, Luc Eyen, Alain Meert, and Michel Petiniot, they come to life through painting and drawing. Together, these images form a herbarium that teeters between observation and imagination, like pages ripped from a scientific book read only by mischievous children. When words enter the floral compositions, the immediacy of expressive drawing meets botanical illustration, reinventing the very form of the page.
