Beneath the old Bains et Thermes de la Sauveni\u00e8re \u2013 now La Cit\u00e9 Miroir \u2013 lies a unique air-raid shelter, classified as Walloon heritage. This extraordinary space, made up of six interconnected circular alcoves, could accommodate up to 400 people during World War II. Remarkably well preserved, it will open to the public in March 2026.Through an immersive route, visitors will experience the daily lives of Li\u00e8ge residents who took refuge under the bombs. The shelter is more than a historical testimony: it is a space for reflection. How can civilians be protected in times of war? What lessons does the past hold for today? With realistic scenography and cutting-edge technology, the exhibition combines local memory with a critical perspective on armed conflicts and the violence of war worldwide.
