Exposition : Z00 agnes de man

During the quiet period of the first lockdown, Agnes De Man retreated to her studio. There she began to paint, very simply, portraits of people with their pets. In addition, she sculpted animals with different materials such as fabric, paper maché, wood and recycled materials such as old telephone books and electrical wires. These works have since culminated in a cheerful, light and colorful participatory exhibition with a fun mise en scène in which animals take center stage. Agnes De Man's work can be an impetus to inspire other people and artists. Adults and children are therefore welcome to attend workshops or also individually to create work in the atmosphere of the exhibition on the theme of animals. Next spring you will receive an invitation to the vernissage with the work of various artists. After an artistic career in fashion and styling, Agnes De Man devoted herself to clowning, out of necessity and guided by the search for deeper relationships. Then she concentrated on her artistic production in the studio, this mainly with mixed materials (fabric, paper, dishcloth,...). Her work has now expanded to painting, collage, assemblage, etc. Agnes De Man finds herself on the margins of traditional artistic environments. Since 2014, through Hors Tempsia, she has made an exhibition space of 100 m2 available to other artists. This intimate and timeless space is arranged in her home, hidden in the remarkable green setting of Linkebeek. The space is dedicated to art, sharing and authenticity, following the example of Agnes De Man's work.
