VTS (Vacances Théâtre Stavelot)

For more than 50 years, VTS, the Festival Vacances Théâtre de Stavelot, has been committed to providing audiences with eclectic, high-quality programming? From comedy to theater to world music, the VTS aims to create connections between audiences and genres. The VTS Festival was originally a theater festival created in Stavelot in 1965 by Jean Mottard and Pol Deranne. Since 1966, it has taken place every year from late June to early July in the grounds of the former Stavelot Abbey, a site now dedicated to culture. Numerous renowned artists and stars of stage and screen have performed here, including Josiane Balasko, Michel Blanc, Michel Boujenah, Thierry Lhermitte, Gerard Jugnot, Valerie Mairesse, Fabrice Luchini, Philippe Laudenbach, Francis Huster, Les Baladins du Miroir and Laurence Bibot. Over the years, the festival has never ceased to evolve, while remaining true to its fundamentals: offering quality while remaining friendly and human in scale. This uniqueness has led to a rich mix of both genres and audiences. At the VTS, it's not uncommon to find at the bar or restaurant actors or singers seen a few hours earlier on stage.
