The famous Fragnée bridge in Liège, decorated by four statues of Titans carrying empty shells since the 1905 World Fair, is the subject of a temporary but monumental work of art. As part of the urban art project "Perles Universelles", from 28 April 2023, artist Maria Vita Gorel has designedfour pearls that each have a diameter of one meter that are installed on top of the the bronze shells of Victor Rousseau's statues in a poetic and contemporary context. At the same time, Les Drapiers is dedicating an exhibition to the artist, from 6 to 27 May 2023. It's an opportunity to better understand the project and discover Maria Vita Goral's work thanks to embroideries, drawings and engravings.
