The exhibition begins in the year 79, on the fateful day of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, marking the destruction of the city. But here, the bodies frozen in the ashes come back to life in the form of a family that will accompany visitors throughout their discovery of Pompeii, full of life and movement: a city at work (craftsmen, architects, doctors, surveyors…), the ingenuity of Roman scientists (measuring instruments, medical advancements), the discovery of natural resources (vine, olive tree, wheat…)
