From 22 September 2018 until 6 January 2019, BPS22 presents a politically engaged exhibition uniting internationally known artists around the theme of order and disorder. An exhibition that positions itself as a direct reference with current matters, while showing brand new works and installations. US OR CHAOSbrings together around forty works from the a/political collection. Inspired by an anti-riot policeman's retort to a member of the Spanish artists collective Democracia, the exhibition takes a look at control techniques and resistance strategies. The works are at times monumental, at times minimal, but always powerful.
Artists: Franko B, Democracia, Teresa Margolles, Andrei Molodkin, Piotr Pavlensky, Andres Serrano, Santiago Sierra, Kendell Geers, Nancy Spero, ou encore Leon Golub. And one work from the collection of the Province de Hainaut: “Résilients” made by the workers of Caterpillar and the artistic duo David Brognon and Stéphanie Rollin from the collection of BPS22.
